MAC lipstick in Chatterbox / NARS lipgloss in Angelika

Very pink lips!

Just wanted to do a pretty pink inspired post on this lovely Friday! I'm not usually a huge pink person, but I was seeing a theme today - flowers, lipstick, cupcakes, etc so I just ran with it =)

The NARS lipgloss is new, and I've been wearing it an awful lot - love it alone or on top of a lipstick as seen above.

You guys like it? =)

Nail Stickers - The Verdict

Chic Prints for Nails - Sephora by OPI in Lace

Love the pattern!

My nails look like little presents haha

Kinda hard to fit to my nails though...

OK so I took the plunge into nail sticker territory and above are the results! A few pros/cons from yours truly:

Pros:
  • No drying time
  • The pattern is cool and shiny
  • You can apply them essentially anywhere and it doesn't make a mess
  • No chipping or smudging
Cons:
  • Certain stickers didn't cover my nails all the way (as seen in the last photo) and the next largest size was too big.
  • Even after filing the nail stickers as the directions stated, the tips are still fraying a bit
  • Things get stuck to them (tissues, napkins, etc)
  • I found it difficult to get the bubbles out, even after trying to smooth them out.
As you can see, it seems like the cons outweigh the pros in this scenario. Now, this could be that I don't have enough experience in applying them, so perhaps it just takes better practice to get it right. Or maybe it was just the brand that I bought that was sub par - I know many other brands make nail stickers too.

What do you guys think? Any tips on how to apply these better?

Bite Beauty Vitamin Gel in Pine-Apple

That didn't take long, huh? After my post a few days ago about "discovering" Bite Beauty at Sephora, I just had to try something from the brand.

I chose the Vitamin Gel in Pine-Apple, because hey, you can never get enough lip moisturizers right? Sephora describes Vitamin Gel as an all-natural multivitamin lip gel that adds sheer shine to the lips. This moisturizing gel contains mood-enhancing essential oils and a high dose of multivitamins, making this lip treatment a daily must. Hmm mood enhancing oils huh? Not sure if it's the gorgeous weather in New York or the gel but it might be working! =)

It's actually very nice, and perfect for the warm weather! I love the scent - very sweet and citrusy. The texture is nice and slick - NOT sticky or tacky in any way! It goes on clear - sorry for the crappy photos, but I was trying to show how shiny it was up close =)

Overall I really like it! It comes in other flavors as well - Blood Orange, Ginger, Pink Grapefruit and Mint.

Monster Makeup

Makeup doesn't always have to be pretty! HAHA, in honor of my weird mood today, here is some crazy monster-inspired makeup.

Bite Beauty?

I was strolling through Sephora today to snatch up some nail stickers (got them, excited to try them later!) but I stopped short. There was an intruder in Sephora…a brand I’ve never heard of - Bite Beauty. Intrigued, I looked at the display and the stuff looked pretty cool. It looks like the only sell it at Sephora, so I might give it a try!

The brand describes themselves as “an alluring collection of lip products featuring super antioxidant resveratrol and superior color.” I like that they only sell lip products, interesting. These two items looked cool to me:

Superfruit Butter

Vitamin Gel

Anyone know anything about Bite? If so, share!

Urban Decay + Benefit = My New Favs

New shadow from Urban Decay!

Perfect for every day

Urban Decay 24 / 7 Glide-on Eyeshadow in Midnight Cowboy

La Bamba blush by Benefit

Fresh & fun!

I love the new shadow and blush I bought! I've been wanting to try the UD 24/7 shadow for a while - I have the 24/7 pencil and have heard great things about the shadow too. I really like it! The chick at the store saw what I was buying and said "this eyeshadow is awesome. it won't come off...seriously." HA! I do like long-wearing makeup in lighter colors - when i'm at work or out somewhere, I don't want to worry about my eyeshadow creasing or rubbing off. This shadow truly did stay on all day and did budge.

The La Bamba blush is also great - since my NARS blush fiasco (see earlier post of the cracked remains) I've been trying out various cheek colors. This blush may not be for everyone though - it does have a bit of shimmer in it - but I think it brightens up the face and is adorable! Unlike most other blushes, it actually lasts a while instead of fading after an hour. Since I bought both products, I've been using them every day because they just work so well.

Has anyone tried either? =)

I've been wanting to try these for the longest time, but just wasn't sure if they were hard to apply or not. Has anyone else tried them? If so, any tips on how to make them look good? Share share share!! =)

Cat Eye / Winged Eye Liner

One of my favorite eye looks of all time is the cat eye or winged eye liner. Whether it be subtle or exaggerated, this look has so many variations. What's your favorite?

While I do love the occasional exaggerated winged liner, I have to say that I'm a big fan of the subtle cat eye look. I think it so pretty and ladylike, and really makes your eyes look bigger. What do you guys think?
